MPS Website President’s Welcome – 2016-17 – Patrick Mueller
On behalf of the Michigan Physiological Society, we welcome you to the Society homepage and are pleased to have you visit the website. Please feel free to explore for information on the Society, our yearly conference, job opportunities and more. As stated in our Bylaws, the purpose and mission of the Michigan Physiological Society is to promote an increase of integrative physiological knowledge, its dissemination and its utilization in the state of Michigan. The Society will provide a dynamic, inquiry-based environment where non-reductionist physiological research and teaching are valued, discussed, and constructively critiqued. We welcome membership and participation of trainees from the high school level through postdoctoral level. We also highly encourage the involvement of high school, undergraduate and post graduate educators with interests in the teaching of physiology.
Lastly, we as the executive leadership serve the interests and needs of the membership and seek to play a strong role creating a network of Physiologists at all levels across the Great Lakes State with our annual meetings and events during the year. We are highly supportive of the research, teaching, and outreach missions on which the Physiologists in our state are working. Please do not hesitate to contact any member of the leadership if you have questions, comments or suggestions about the Society.
With kindest regards,
